a simple pleasure.

every once and a while i'll get an email from my dad with pictures of cricket attached and little messages like "come play with me!" and "come see me!"  it seriously brightens my day each time.  i instantly want to drop all my work and head on over.  i love that pup, and my dad.  she is one funny funny dog.

we woke up to a winter wonderland this morning! i can't stop singing "it's beginning to look a lot like christmaaaaaas" and isaac is loving it. just loving it. good thing we bought cricket a puffy vest so she would be warm in this snow. such a little cutie.

yesterday i dropped my family off at the airport so they could fly to florida for a week of fun. i'll be honest, it was pretty depressing. i wish so badly isaac and i could be there with them, but i realize i am extremely lucky to have a job as a nurse {especially my dream job!} and i just couldn't ask for the time off as a newbie. soooo instead i get to spend all my free time this week with our little dog cricket! last night we watched you've got mail {love that show} and ate popcorn and ice cream, such a fun girls night. oh, and we got a walk in as well. go us. we're going to have a fun week together, i can feel it.

i definitely have some post-christmas blues. you plan and plan and plan and then poof! christmas is over. it all happened so fast! and for some reason i feel like if i drag out telling you about it, it will last longer...i'll shoot for tomorrow.

as of now, i'm too busy enjoying my break! i'm already consumed with planning/preparing for new years/my 23rd/valentine's day.
