temple.

here are the first round of pics from our wedding day. there are so many that i love so i couldn't do it all in one post, so i decided to break it up into sections - the temple, isaac and emma, and our wedding dinner. i hope you like them!

a sweet treat.

i love baking. especially when i find yummy recipes that are easy easy easy. i got this cookbook at one of my bridal showers and it is a gift from heaven. i love it! one of my new favorite recipes is for easy ice cream sandwiches. 1 devil's food cake mix

1/3 cup oil

2 eggs

1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream

(my favorite is dreyer's slow churned vanilla bean - its half the fat and just as delicious!)

preheat oven to 350 degrees. mix together cake mix, oil, and eggs in large bowl. the dough will be stiff. lightly flour a clean surface. roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it is about 1/2-inch thick. use a round cup or cookie cutter to cut out uniform cookies. spray a cookie sheet with vegetable oil. place the cut-out dough on the pan.

bake 8-10 minutes (if small cookies only like 6-7 min). remove cookies onto a cooling rack.

when cool, place a scoopful of ice cream in-between 2 cookies. wrap the sandwiches in plastic wrap. store cookies in airtight container in the freezer.

***i have made these twice and the second time i just made the sandwiches right before i served them and they turned out much better...they don't always set up well in the freezer. ***

guilty little pleasure.

i can't help but feel like my break is creeping away, and creeping away fast. thank goodness isaac and i are leaving for our weekend getaway in st. george/vegas today. a weekend with my husband all to myself sounds a+ to me. we have big plans to soak up the sun, eat lots of yummy food, do a little shopping and maybe even see a show. and look what i picked up to read on the drive...

don't judge me.

i practically went an entire semester without documenting nursing school. shame on me. so on our last day of clinicals i busted out the digi and took some pics.

sooo i survived finals. and i'm off to a great start on my 2 week break!

on friday we went to see 500 days of summer see it! the music was fabulous.

amanda came to town for the weekend so on saturday isaac and i went to bbq with her fam. it had been waaaay to long since i had seen all the robinson's together.

i met katie's babe, audrey grace. i wanted to take her right home.

and robbie! i asked him what he'd been up and he replied,

"blowing bubbles."

my sweetie boy. i love spending all my weekends with him.

the weekend was a true success.

tomorrow is my last day of my first semester of nursing school. 25% done. i love it so much but i am soo excited for my 2 week break.

these are my really exciting plans:

1. get my hair done - it has been sooo long and its just a big poodle poof on my head

2. change my name on my drivers license

3. go to st. george/vegas with my hubby!

4. deep clean our apartment/organize our giant closet

5. sleep in every day

6. hang with my mom/sis

7. read for fun - i refuse to look at a text book the entire break, you can't make me

8. hang with my friends!

9. bake a bunch

10. have a life

i am just so excited to spend time with isaac without nursing school constantly in the back of my mind. right now i'm supposed to be studying 150+ drugs for my final tomorrow...whoops.

oh, i almost forgot!

i will finally be getting around to posting our wedding photos.

this is it. my last post on our honeymoon to hawaii.

friday morning we woke up early to eat a big breakfast and to take surf lessons! i was extremely nervous and was hesitant to try, but it did it for the husband. and guess what, i loved it! and i actually surfed!

gosh i look tired. and i was...but what did i do? stay up all night watching movies on the screen in front of me and waiting for the flight attendant to bring me treats. i could not miss out on those first class treats.
