isaac and i had our engagement pics taken on saturday and we were oh so grateful for the nice weather. we had so much fun and loved our photographer matt clayton. this is the only pic we've seen so far...but more to come.

i did it!

are you ready for some fabulous news???

i got into the accelerated nursing program at the university of utah! i couldn't be more happy!

isaac and i have had some pretty great things happen for us lately, we are truly so blessed. everything seems to be coming together perfectly - - - we're getting married in 53 days!, i got into nursing school, and isaac got an amazing promotion at work.

it feels so great to have all our hard work pay off.

so here's how things are going to go....

graduation: may 8th

best day of my life: may 9th

honeymooners to cancun: may 10th-14th

first day of nursing school: may 18th

oh boy oh boy will we be busy. i am so excited!!!

ike and i have had quite the week since he has been home from europe.

one word.

surgery.

isaac tore his meniscus 10 months ago and we were just hoping it would repair itself, but no. so we decided having the surgery was a must before we get married so thursday was the big day.

we got up bright and early and off to tosh we went. we had a few hours in the room before ike went into surgery and we had quite the time. isaac handled the surgery like a pro. when we came into recovery he was so out of it, i loved it. so drugged and sleepy.

sooo this weekend has been full of ike's recovery. he had to keep his knee elevated for 3 straight days so we had lots of fun watching movies, eating grilled cheese and thin mints, and watching amazing wedding cakes on the wedding channel (thanks ike). i don't want to go back to real life. i love having isaac all to myself 24 hours a day.

this is us waiting for surgery. i look sleepy because we had a very unexpected, early start. isaac is recovering very quickly, hobbling around. love it.

he's home!!!! it is so great to have isaac back from his trip to europe.

i missed him more than i could have ever expected.

we get married in exactly 2 months from today! how crazy is that.

yesterday the weather was so fab outside so we decided to take ike's dog abbey for a little walk up springville canyon. it was gorgeous.

i love spring.

abbey would not look at the camera and i was not happy about it.

just smile abbey.

isaac and i had a great weekend just hanging out together and now we have to get busy busy with wedding plans!

71 days.

this week i have been planning, planning away. i am actually quite proud of myself for all the things i have gotten done.

for example...

back in january isaac, my mom and i went to a wedding show at market street grill to try out all their yummy food and get a feel for what our wedding dinner will be like. they had different vendors there and one was a photo booth rental. the lady practically shoved the three of us in the booth and we had no idea when the pictures were going to snap. they turned out so funny and we loved it. hence, we are having one at our dinner. i got in contact with the vendor this week and got a steal of a deal.

here is a list of my other accomplishments this week:

-finished designing and ordering our invitations.

-found vases for the floral centerpieces.

-bought a fabulous pair of jeans/sweater/belt for engagement pics + a shirt for ike.

-made an appointment to get my last 2 wisdom teeth out. barf.

-collected all my friend's addresses for our announcements.

-gathered pics for our wedding video.

go me. lets hope next week is just as successful.

ike is in venice, italy right now. instead of streets, they have canals.

2 weeks down, 1 to go.

registry.

tonight i started the daunting task of

a. gathering addresses for our wedding announcements

and

b. wedding gift registry

holy stress. there are so many things to choose from at target.com and i don't even know where to start. if anyone has any advice, please send it my way. i have also decided to register at macy's, mainly because they carry the martha stewart collection. i want my kitchen to be tiffany blue and red...please look at this kitchen aid mixer.

fabulous right? martha has a whole collection in that color and i'm loving it all.

so my isaac has been gone for almost a week now. i am missing him like crazy. it is definitely not easy being without your best friend for 3 weeks. but i'm getting through it...by busying myself with sorting through hundreds and hundreds of pages of appliances on target.com. i am hoping that by pre-registering online it will make it much easier for isaac and i to get it done when he gets home. he is currently in rome. yes, rome.

i can't wait for him to take me back like the day i finish school.

there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

he's a goner.

isaac officially left for his 3 week backpacking adventure to europe yesterday and i couldn't be more excited for him! the only sad thing is that i couldn't go. boo school.

i have to keep reminding myself that "i graduate in may, i graduate in may" when i start shaking with anger. ha!

luckily i have these little beauties to keep me company while my lover is away.

martha stewart is helping me plan my dream wedding.

and yes finally, i am going to read breaking dawn.

i am a huge fan of twilight, but because of a lack of time i am yet to read it. i am 100% dedicated to reading it while isaac is gone. i will finally know how the saga ends. lol.

and of course all my sweet sweet family and friends always keep me having fun.
